En+ Group Announces 2009 Results of Its Metal Works

En+ Group announces the operating and financial results 2009 of its metal works Krasnoyarsk Metallurgical Plant (KraMZ) and Dmitrov Test Plant of Aluminium and Composite Tape (DOZAKL).
The output of KraMZ totaled 111.3 thd tons, 10% above the plan. Cylindrical billets and rolled wire were the main cast product types in 2009, with profiles, rods and pipes being the main press products. KraMZ exported 48 percent of its output mainly to Turkey, Thailand, the USA, Germany, Italy, the UK, Israel and South Korea in 2009.
The output of DOZAKL totaled 7.15 thd tons, 7% down compared to 2008. The main product types in 2009: dyed strip for suspended ceilings, mirror surface strip for lighting and interior fittings, and strip for composite panels used in modern construction.
The two plants' revenues totaled RUR7.82bn in 2009 (KraMZ - RUR6.9bn; DOZAKL - RUR0.92bn).
The head of En+ Downstream Natalia Vasilenko commented: "The aluminium downstream business of En+ Group has been financially stable amid the world economic crisis. We instituted tough cost controls and have been able to avoid substantial staff cuts and downtime, which have been the effects of the global crunch all over the aluminium industry. We plan a 15% output increase and a large-scale modernization of En+ Group's metal works for 2010".

DOZAKL is the Russia's only producer of aluminium strip for roller shutters, mirror surface aluminium strip for light reflectors and suspended ceilings, and the only producer of the Lamister® packaging material.
