The Glavstroy Corporation, owned by OLeg Deripaska, is reviving a project to build its own industrial zones. In late August, the Corporation's management decided to relocate the production areas of its Moscow enterprises outside the Moscow Ring Road, and to build 1.5 million sqm of residential and commercial property on this territory.

Transstroy to build Kurortny avenue alternate route in Sochi

Transstroy and Mostotrest announced the agreement of a contract for over 29 billion rubles to build the second and third phases of Sochi's Kurortny avenue alternate route which will allow smooth motor transport for local and foreign spectators travelling to Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics. The project is estimated to take two years and further motorway construction will be commissioned in 2011.

June 4, a modern mobile crushing and grading complex with the capacity of 1 350 000 tons of crushed stone per year will be put into operation at Alagirskoye deposit of sand-gravel mixture. BaselCement will invest 16 million USD into the start of crushed stone production from boulder rock at the deposit of sand-gravel mixtures.

BaselCement will start to produce cement in Leningrad region. The Company will invest 83 million USD in reconstruction of the new asset.

Moscow, 18 January – Basic Element and ITERA-Invest-Stroy have signed a cooperation agreement to build cement plants in countries of the CIS and in the Urals. The agreement will enable BaselCement to start the development of aggregates assets and cement production in new regions, and will enable ITERA to enter the cement market.
